It was a Busman's Holiday for our Technical Director Chris Dear at the weekend as he took to the race track in his Peugeot 205GTi and ended up coming away in top spot!
But far from the relaxing day away from wheel alignment that he'd planned, Chris ended up taking out his trusty Absolute Alignment Bluetooth Pro wheel aligner and tweaking the set up of his race car to provide optimum performance. Subsequently he won his class and came 21st out of 39 cars in the massive Classic & Sports Car Club Tin Tops race at Donington Park on 24th March.
"It was good to be 'end user' side of our equipment," Chris said. "It's great to prove that you really can perform wheel alignment anywhere, and opens a whole new business model for an entrepreneurial soul visiting not just race tracks but anywhere that drivers congregate. With figures showing around 40% of cars need suspension repairs this is a massive market."
